I hated the way my seat belt rubbed and pulled so hard against my neck, the skin irritation was bad enough but often it felt like my seat belt was choking me too. I'm about five and a half feet tall, which falls into the range of height that puts the shoulder harness of a seat belt right against the neck. I tried a lot of things to fix it, one of my friends thought it was funny but he is over 6' tall and doesn't have a clue about seat belt neck!

Bulldog clips and alligator clips weren't the answer, they opened and let go when the seat belt rolled back, and barrettes(can you tell I am a female, lol?) were cumbersome and wouldn't let go when the seat belt would need to engage. I didn't like the big padded harness wrappers, I don't use air conditioning in my car, that got way too hot down here in steamy Mobile, Alabama pretty early in the season. I didn't like the products that clamp the lap belt to the shoulder harness because they bunched up my clothes and wrinkled them(right there!) It was a problem, to quote Pongo in 101 Dalmations, and one I struggled with off an on for years.

Finally I found an answer!


I was impressed by this wonderful, unobtrusive little device the first time I saw and used it and doubly impressed when tbe man who holds the patent showed me that it disengages instantly when sideways pressure is applied(when you want to remove the clip from the seat belt (I do when I'm riding in somebody else's car.I suppose I should just buy an extra one to carry in my purse, lol. I never thought about it!) or when the seat belt is engaged in a collision)).

I have tried this product and can personally attest to the relief from discomfort caused by my seat belt and the ease of use of this product. Trust me, I'm a big weanie when it comes to doing anything that requires much physical strength, espeically in my hands, because I just don't have very much upper body strength.
